Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, cultivated from diamond seeds.

The cultivation of lab-grown diamonds is a process of growing tiny diamonds into larger ones. Grit-sized or flaky diamonds are used as seeds and placed in the cultivation chamber, providing a structural template for the growth of new diamonds.

High temperature and high pressure environment
In the cultivation chamber, the temperature and pressure will rise rapidly to reach the extreme environment hundreds of kilometers below the earth’s crust, artificially recreating the harsh formation conditions of natural diamonds.

Carbon-containing nutrient input
Graphite (C) or methane (CH₄) is added to the chamber as the carbon source. Under high temperature, high pressure and special treatment, the chemical bonds between carbon atoms in the raw materials break, turning them into free carbon atoms.

The seed diamond grows gradually
The free carbon atoms are attracted by the adjacent carbon atom structure, so they will gradually attach to the diamond seed, combine with the carbon atoms of the seed and form new chemical bonds, allowing the seed to grow larger step by step.
